Inside Work Experience with The Eze Foundation Team

Article

Celebrating growth. We’re proud to celebrate two incredible students who recently completed their work experience…

Throughout the week, they explored a range of key employability skills—from goal setting and mock interviews with industry professionals, to designing a social media marketing plan for an athlete and learning how successful organisations measure impact. A standout moment was their visit to the Premier League headquarters, where they spent the day with Samuel Akpan, gaining real insight into how campaigns are built, how talent is woven into strategy, and how teams work together toward a shared mission.

As the week progressed, we watched them grow in confidence, sharpen their soft skills, and step out of their comfort zones. By the end of the placement, they delivered thoughtful and articulate presentations that reflected just how far they had come. It’s been a joy to witness their journey—from curious learners on day one to confident young professionals by the final day. We’re proud to be part of their development and excited to see what they do next.

Playing football on the estate was huge for me. It allowed me to enjoy and express myself I would say it’s played a huge part in the type of player I am today and what I enjoy doing.

Everyone wants to be the best they can be. Everyone wants to make strides to do better and find some sort of motivation to move from where you are because in most places, not just South London, it can be quite difficult. There is an inner determination to achieve and help the people around you. That plays a huge part in why there are so many success stories.
